History
JAS Worldwide was founded in Italy in 1978 from modest beginnings and spread quickly across Europe and the Far East. It was in 1980 that Mr. John Garvey and Mr. Dave Waldock joined JAS Worldwide. Operating out of the Toronto office, both John and Dave spent the next 9 years assisting in the development of the JAS brand into what it is today; a global corporation with more than 150 offices in 100 countries worldwide.
Following the departure from JAS Worldwide in 1989, John and Dave formed the Ranger Group of Companies focusing primarily on the North American market. With their extensive knowledge and experience in international business, both John and Dave saw an opportunity to expand the service capabilities Ranger could provide its customers. In 1994 they purchased JAS Canada, expanding the global reach and service capabilities of the Company.
Today, the Company uses cutting edge technology and unmatched industry talent to provide customized solutions at a competitive price. Around the world, JAS teams help customers realize the potential of today's global marketplace. JAS's goal with each and every customer is to deliver total customer satisfaction and value through logistics management and information services, providing customers with a competitive advantage.
The Ranger Group is comprised of five distinct companies; Ranger Express Forwarding Inc., Ranger Distribution Inc., Ranger Cargo Systems Inc., Ranger Moving Systems Inc., and JAS Canada Inc. Each company plays a strategic role in the Ranger Group’s plans for continued expansion across North America and around the world. Ranger Express Forwarding is the North American freight forwarding division within the Ranger Group. Ranger Distribution provides dedicated logistics services including warehousing and distribution. Ranger Cargo Systems provides its customers with local distribution options within the GTA and surrounding areas. Ranger Moving Systems, a member of the Mayflower Group, is the household/special projects division of the Ranger Group dedicated to providing white glove services all across North America. Complementing its North American infrastructure, JAS Canada, a member of JAS Worldwide, provides the Ranger Group with an international network of dedicated offices worldwide.
